in loving memory of my grandfather david haughey senior
my granddad was a loving man he was much loved by family and friends he was 1 of ten children sadly two babies were stillborn. he was born and spent some of his life in twechar scotland. but most of his adult life he lived in west chadsmoor (cannock) and his work life was down the pit he leaves behind his wife of 58 years margret and 4 sons jack, william, micheal and david jnr. and also 1 daughter anita. and 13 grandchildren 1 has sadly passed over and 4 great grandchildren. i remember with fondness his love for his greyhounds biddy and bravo. and whatching them win many races!!
he loved snooker and pool and going to the albion pub on pye green road in cannock and the jubilee pub on pye green road in cannock and the longford social club in cannock, crosswords and loved watching celtic football untill he was diagnosed with alzheimers what a horrible and heart-breaking illness and then sadly died of heart failure on christmas eve 2007. but i place this on here to remember the gentle caring and loving man that he was

i am with my brother's wey up high

granddad i remember when you raced your dogs
laughing and cheering when they won the race

i know your being looked after now by god
